Inside, Outside, Upside Down

Of all the autumn activities the highest on the list around here is raking a pile of leaves and jumping in them! There are leaves in their clothes, in the house and in their hair. They come in smelling as fresh as a beautiful autumn day can.

Last weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's house they made a huge pile. (Just from the front yard leaves! The back yard leaves were being saved for the cousins.)

I wish I knew how to post digital video clips. One time Caitlin ran into the leaf pile plugging her nose as if she were jumping off the end of the dock. It was really cute.

Each season has its own blessings. The leaves in autumn are definitely a blessing to these two children!

Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
~ Psalm 111:2

The boot pics are so funny! I'll have to remember that and try to duplicate it when our leaves start falling enough to make a big pile and jump in them. Josiah can hardly wait!!!

My kids are so funny. When leaves just start to fall, they will rake up every one they can find to make a pile. Sometimes the pile is only about a foot tall and 2 feet in diameter but they will jump in anyway. The pile only gets bigger and better with time, and they never seem to get tired of it.

I love the boot picture too!

We just LOVE jumping in leaves at our house. My kids could do it all day. Great photos -- especially the boot one! Super fun!!

Blessings!!
