Pretty...Practical

Tuesday's room chore is changing sheets, cleaning under our beds and tidying our side tables. Caitlin and Joshua a very good at getting up and doing their room chores right away. It helps that the sheets are all bundled up and ready to go.

One day last spring while folding laundry on our bed, I saw a discarded ribbon and decided to bundle up Caitlin's sheets. When it was time for her to bring her folded clothes and linens to her bedroom she was so thrilled to see her sheets all wrapped up as a gift she squealed. (I know that sounds so dramatic - however we are talking Caitlin here!)

It was fun but more importantly - so very practical. It was easier for the children to carry and put away their sheets. It was also very handy to grab the bundle on Monday night to prepare for Tuesday morning's chore.

Pretty... and practical.

Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

What a great idea! I would love to see your daily chores. (That means I'd like to copy them!)

LOL Michelle, you are so funny.

I love the sheets. They look very pretty and definitely deserved the squeal.
