Reflect Christ's love so real;
If you would teach the Master's Word
And with His Spirit seal,
Then...
You must look inward to your heart
And see the issues there;
For out of every teacher's heart,
Must issue love and care.
For...
Those who sit around your feet
Are quick to see and know
The shallow sham or Christ-like love,
From inner chambers flow.
So...
Teacher, look well to you heart;
Give God the very best.
Strong heart, clean heart, glad heart and whole
Will pass the Master's test.

School is coming....planning has begun!
I am so very blessed to be able to have my children home to educate. I loved my 13 years of teaching classroom but it is nothing like the thrill of watching your own children grow in body, mind and spirit! I have learned that what is done in classrooms is such a tiny, tiny part of a child's growth but it takes up so much time. What a blessing to use that extra time at home to experience the play, fun, imagination, snuggles on the couch reading and the best that childhood has to offer. We are truly blessed!

God has taught me so much over the past few years of homeschooling. I am by far an imperfect vessel and yet am overwhelmed at God's trust in me to raise and teach Joshua and Caitlin for Him. So as I begin to prepare for the school year it is done in prayer...remembering that it is not all about the "studies" but about whole child growth beginning with their hearts for Jesus and continuing with a love for the Creator's world.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

I love the poem. I should have a copy on my "teacher's manual".
Whenever I read your blog it makes me feel peaceful and happy. I think it's the scripture you add. I should make more of an effort to do that on mine.
Thanks for sharing.
I did have it in my "teacher's manual" at OSL. I found it as I was cleaning through some things in my desk this week.
Thanks for the compliment and the prayers!
I quickly stopped by your blog and it looks so fun. You have such a great sense of humor. I'll look forward to reading through it soon. I'm glad you are blogging - I enjoy reading blogs when I have my short sanity breaks through the day. :-)
Hi Lisa!
I'm nominating you for the Rockin' Girl blogger award because I think you rock. :o)
Stop by my place to grab the graphic (if you want to participate and pass on the award) and to see other other nominations.
It's good to be reminded how beautiful homeschooling can be! Thank you for that!
