Spring...Snow

This would be my children at 7AM playing in the snow. At least it is spring and a bit brighter this early. As they were playing the high school bus went by and Caitlin said, "It's about time the bus came." Too funny. She has no idea that most of the world doesn't get up as early as she does.

The green buds are all covered in snow. They are wondering just like I am...Where is the springtime? When will it come?

Everything is covered again.

We put out seed for the birds- mostly Juncos and Cardinals. The Robins were happy to see that the gigantic snowballs pulled the snow away from the grass so they could resume their worm hunt.

We saw a bird in the back yard that we thought might have been injured as it sat in the same place for about three hours. We checked our books and found it was an American Woodcock. We were excited as we had never seen one before. We finally went closer to it to see if it was injured and to get a photo of it but it suddenly flew away before we knew what happened. It was all very exciting to learn it wasn't hurt but we were disappointed that we missed a photo opportunity.

Ahhh...Spring... in Minnesota.....

In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
-Psalm 5:3
