Paul, one of my former students (from my previous life of classroom teaching) is living in London and working in the theater. When Quentin had a business trip to the UK last week he looked him up and they went out for coffee.
It is amazing to me how God brings people in and out of our lives. My first memories of Paul were when he was in Kindergarten and he would be at church with his dad. He would get into the Phy Ed closet and get a jump rope and make a "trap" for me outside my classroom door. Later, I also enjoyed having Paul as a student and remember so many great discussions and fun.
When I saw Paul at his sister's wedding this past fall and watched him sing, many of these fond memories came back and I pondered how there are just some people that God has placed in our hearts that are there to stay...Paul is one of those people.
Paul, his parents and his sisters are such a wonderful example of God's love and grace.
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Have you noticed how God is into connecting people?
I love it when He does that.
Paul sounds like a special guy.
(Btw, I'm enjoying catching up on your blog!)
Linda,
I really am amazed at how God is connecting people. I sometimes relate it to a dot-to-dot only backwards. You see something great happen and backtrack the way it happened (dot-to-dot) and see God's hand in it and how He brought all the people together.
God is good!
